Access+ HMO

Employers can choose from several HMO plan designs with a variety of copayment options. Each covers a wide range of benefits, including prescription drug coverage which is automatic for groups with 2-50 employees and optional for larger groups. All of our HMO plan designs offer members:

  • The ability to choose his or her own Personal Physician and to change Personal Physicians for any reason
  • No deductibles or lifetime dollar maximums
  • Virtually no claim forms
  • Fixed copayments for most covered services, including general and specialty care
  • Preventive care services covered at no charge
  • Access+ Specialist - the choice of seeing their Personal Physician and paying their standard copayment or going directly to a specialist in the same medical group or IPA as the member's Personal Physician without a referral for a fixed, $30 copayment
  • Access+ Satisfaction - a responsive member feedback program that even offers to refund members their standard physician office visit copayment if they are ever dissatisfied with the service received from an Access+ HMO network physician
  • Access+ Online - our new World Wide Web site offers Access+ HMO members instant access to the information they need to manage and take control of their health
  • Nationwide HMO Blue USA network for out-of-area urgent care
  • Worldwide emergency coverage
  • Toll-free customer service

Network Personal Physicians are responsible for providing and/or coordinating all of a member's medical care including specialty referrals, except when a member chooses the Access+ Specialist option.
